Hi Tina and Robin,

I am writing to personally thank you both for your hospitality when we stayed with you at Summerhill B&B in September 2016. The 2 nights was not enough, wish I could have stayed a week, I mean Tina' cooking alone was so amazing, and our days busy with the tour of properties my ancestors lived on in the 1180 - 1860 era. This was great, and with your local knowledge we visited the 7 properties easily over the 2 days. It was further enriched by the researcher you suggested, Davie Hunter, who found many of my lost people all around the local churchyards. It was a very interesting, enjoyable and immensely satisfying tour over the two days, and capped off with the scenery and local history you and Davie added in as we toured around. I cannot imagine how our time with you could have been improved, I left with much more understanding of my ancestors, and a great sense of understanding they were very blessed with good fortune in their new homeland .

I am so happy with my stay with you at Galloway Holidays. My only regret is I did not allow enough time.

I thank you very much for all the trouble you went to, including the local kippers.

With kind regards to you both,

Thank you for your hospitality and for organizing a weekend trip with such short notice. It was the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. I'm convinced that I have to return to see more of your beautiful country (and to have more of that amazing fish in Kirkcudbright!). Best wishes,

I just wanted to take the time to thank you and Tina again for the wonderful trip you organized, your generous hospitality in Castle Douglas, and for sharing a tiny piece of your lives with us. It was a great pleasure.

Thank you both for your warm hospitality. I truly enjoyed the routes you set and the sights you recommended. Thank you for making this first ‘solo’ trip so memorable.

We'd like to thank you once more for the perfect organisation and material of the itinerary and for the very enjoyable stay in your lovely B&B!. With the best wishes for a very profitable season and lots of regards from Austria

Thank you so much for organizing the fantastic tour of your beautiful area of Scotland. We had a great time. And we especially enjoyed meeting both of you. You were gracious and welcoming hosts.

Marc and I are back at home, having finished a very intense week of work, but still feeling the afterglow of our trip. The library just informed me that they have got "Five Red Herrings" on hold for me... Now I'll be able to not only read it and envision it, but even pronounce the names right (...sort of). Best wishes to you both.

Robin led the foodie tour - the tour group consisted of two experienced cyclists and a verrrrry novice one (me). Robin found routes for the two sub groups, so that each of us was able to have a good cycle.

We met up for and shared wonderful tours of a nearby biscuit factory, a chocolate making shop and an ice cream emporium. Tastings at each of the places - as well as an inside look at the production processes. Interesting.

The culmination for me was a delicious lunch, prepared personally for us, which included three!!!! appetizers and a main and dessert. The chef introduced each dish. We were satiated, entertained and informed.

The rest of the group went on to a scallop processing factory - this cyclist got picked up after a walking(!) tour of the town. Great day - full of delicious food and an inside look at various foodie haunts.
