Genealogy and Family History in Scotland

We are aware that many people come to the Dumfries and Galloway region to research and visit their family history connections. We offer to assist with your enquiries.

We have excellent knowledge of the region having lived and worked here for over 50 years. Prior to arranging holidays in Galloway, we were involved in investigative work and therefore naturally suited to making family history enquires. In addition to our holiday business, we are interested in family history research.

We have limited time in our holiday business now to carry out research therefore we have local associates who are experienced in this area.

What we are able to do is to plan and research any significant places found following research and to visit and/or design a route or tour in preparation for enquirers or visitors. We are able to arrange escorted tours if required.

We have already succesfully carried out several research and escorted tours in Galloway and south Scotland for our customers from USA and Canada.

We are accredited with the Visitscotland Ancestral Tourism Scheme and undertake to follow their Code of Conduct. We are also members of Dumfries and Galloway Family History Society.
